BVE 2017 Review

Thank you for visiting Canford at BVE 2017!

The exhibition was incredibly busy, with a near constant footfall throughout the 3-day event.

BVE is now considered a leading Entertainment and Media Technology event. It attracts over 15,000 professionals from the Broadcast, Production and Post-production sectors of the industry. In recent years the exhibition has evolved to incorporate Connected Media, AV System Integration, Live Production, VR and Creative areas, which resonates well with the broad range of distinctive products manufactured and distributed by Canford.

Visitors to the Canford stand were what the organisers might describe as being "high-quality". Industry professionals and of a decision making level within their organisation. We prefer to think of you as our clients however! Either way, BVE 2017 was great. Some might say BVE has "come of age!".

We exhibited an array of Canford manufactured panels, and our new series of high-quality AV connector plates alongside our Fibre Field Termination Rackmount Case, all designed by Canford and produced at our Portland manufacturing facility.

Lusem hybrid optical HDMI 1.4 cables generated lots of interest from customers who'd like to use HDMI monitors upto 100m from the source equipment.

Canford Product Manager Mike Reay was almost overwhelmed a times with the level of interest in Green Go digital communication systems. Customers were very impressed with the IP comms system, in particular the audio clarity, minimal latency and wireless range demonstrated and put to the test by several customers. Green Go works over ethernet, and includes a wireless DECT belt pack solution. The system is unique in that it does not rely upon a master station or central matrix. Instead, each component stores all system settings and configuration data locally. This makes for a cost effective and scalable IP comms system. Canford are the sole distributors for Green GO in the UK and Ireland.
