Canford appointed exclusive UK distributor of TC Electronic Broadcast and Professional audio equipment

Canford have successfully secured the exclusive UK distribution of TC Electronic broadcast and professional audio equipment.

Founded in 1976 by two Danish musician brothers, TC Electronic began producing low-noise effects pedals before developing high-quality 19” audio processors. The new professional products were engineered to provide revolutionary features intended for use in recording studios and live sound applications.

The TC Electronic broadcast and professional product range has been expanded somewhat since those early days. The brand now boasts a long list of endorsements from professional recording and sound engineers to include Al Schmitt, Recording Engineer for Paul McCartney, Toto and Steely Dan. New York based Anthony “Rocky” Gallo, Recording Engineer for Will.I.AM and Scoring Mixer Bobby Fernandez who has worked with Hollywood star Clint Eastwood and Director Tim Burton.

Canford will distribute TC Electronics’ current product range of precision audio metering, monitor controllers, high resolution audio converters, loudness management, processing, audio delays and digital effects units.

Product available via Canford will include the recently launched Clarity M. Clarity M is a new precision desktop audio meter with a 7-inch, high resolution display. It’s designed for use in music production and audio mixing. It provides several measurement options for mono, stereo or 5.1 formats, to help engineers monitor the loudness of an audio mix. Especially essential in the delivery of audio for broadcast and other audible output applications where compliance to ITU (International Telecommunications Union), EBU (European Broadcasters Union), and other worldwide standards is required.

Canford Marketing Manager, Stephen Gallagher commented: Canford will support professional end-user sales and system integration business as well as maintaining the existing sub-distribution network. We believe we can add value and successfully develop TC Electronic in the UK through our strong links within the broadcast sector, industry leading technical support and unrivaled pro audio distribution experience.

MUSIC Group Sales Manager, Tim Gray added: We are delighted to welcome Canford Audio as our exclusive TC Electronics Broadcast & Professional products partner in the UK. TC Electronics has a long history of producing only the very best quality, high end processing for a technically demanding market sector, and Canford has a wealth of experience at supplying and supporting this market. Ian Winter and his team at Canford have impressed us greatly with their attention to detail and appetite to engage and contribute to the success of TC in the UK Broadcast and Professional market, and we are terrifically excited to be working closely with them to develop and grow the brand to even greater success in the future.

Canford Product Manager, Ian Winter concluded: The introduction of TC Electronic to the Canford product catalogue marks the latest step in the company’s strategic effort to design, manufacture and distribute distinctive products to its customers. Whether that be through exclusive distribution agreements or Canford’s own manufacturing. We have all of the necessary attributes to successfully develop this high-quality, precision audio brand and I’m looking forward to building a long-term relationship with TC Electronic.

Canford will distribute TC Electronic from April 2017. More information is available at www.canford.co.uk/TC-Electronic or from the Sales Team on Tel: 0191 418 1122.
