ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS 404 SERIES WALL MOUNTING CABINETS - Assembled
Flexibly designed to suit applications in audio, video, data networks and CCTV, the 404 Series offers a range of cabinets to rack-mount 19-inch equipment on walls.
Constructed from welded steel for strength and rigidity, the 404 is finished in a durable light-grey (RAL7035) or black (RAL9005) epoxy powder paint finish. This range offers the unusual facility to upgrade the standard single-section cabinet by adding a rear section. This gives extra depth, but more importantly gives access to the rear of the equipment without taking it out of the cabinet. The rear section, which incorporates a hinge, is fixed to the wall. The front section is attached, and can then be swung away for rear access when a lock is released.
Single Section Cabinets
Standard cabinets are supplied complete with a steel-framed clear tinted acrylic panel locking door, with quick-release hinges to improve access. Side panels have ventilation slots. Cable access at the top and bottom is through elongated entry ports. These are supplied fitted with cover-plates which may be machined by the installer to take cable glands as required. Four 19-inch mounting-angles are supplied, which may be positioned freely within the depth of the cabinet. Overall depth is 450mm or 550mm, maximum internal depth for equipment is 440mm or 540mm respectively. Overall width is 604mm. Overall height is 50mm greater than the size given in U, where U is 44.45mm. Clearance between the front mounting-angles and the door, at the position closest to the door, is 10mm.
Rear Sections
The rear section is 130mm deep overall, and of split construction to give extra rigidity to the whole rack. The back part is 80mm deep, which fixes to the wall. This has cable access at the top and bottom via entry ports, which are supplied with cover plates. The front frame, which is 50mm deep, is hinged onto the rear section, and has fixings to connect it to the cabinet. When the rear section is fitted, equipment mounted in the front may extend back a further 50mm, without colliding with the rear section as the front section swings open. Alternatively, 19-inch panels may be mounted in the rear section, with 75mm clearance behind. (In this case, the equipment in the front must be chosen to avoid collision with the rear panels).
Accessories
The 404 Series will accept most standard 19-inch accessories and fittings.
