WOHLER AMP2A 2U MONITOR SPEAKERS
A range of self-powered 2U rack-mounting monitor speakers intended for space critical environments where quality monitoring is required. The range includes options for source-selection, visual metering and a variety of input formats.
AMP2-AMVU
Basic model with two balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA (phono) inputs/loop-through outputs, volume and balance controls, two analogue VU meters, LED phase indication, headphone socket and miniature loudspeakers.
AMP2-AMPPM
Basic model with two balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA (phono) inputs/loop-through outputs, volume and balance controls, two analogue PPM meters (EBU or BBC scale), LED phase indication, headphone socket and miniature loudspeakers.
AMP2A-2S
Dual stereo input version with four balanced XLR inputs/loop-through outputs of selected input, front-panel source-selection, volume and balance controls, two 20-segment LED meters showing VU or PPM with 1dB mid-scale resolution and adjustable threshold, headphone socket and miniature loudspeakers.
AMP2A-10S
Ten stereo input version with twenty balanced “Phoenix” connector inputs, XLR balanced loop-through output of selected input, front-panel source-selection, volume and balance controls, two 20-segment LED meters showing VU or PPM with 1dB mid-scale resolution and adjustable threshold, headphone socket and miniature loudspeakers. Applicable for source and distribution monitoring.
AMP2A-VTR2
Dual four-input version with eight balanced “Phoenix” connector inputs arranged as two groups of four, XLR balanced loop-through output of selected inputs, pushbutton channel selection and summing, volume and balance controls, four 53-segment LED meters showing each input in the selected group, with simultaneous VU and PPM with 1dB mid-scale resolution and adjustable threshold, headphone socket and miniature loudspeakers. Monitoring multiple-channel audio on two video recorders is a likely application.
Phoenix Connectors for Wohler Units
Wohler equipment uses either “Phoenix” or “Mini-Phoenix” connectors for some models (see individual product descriptions). These are two-part terminal-strip connectors. The free part has screw terminals for the incoming cable and plugs into the fixed part built into the equipment. In each case the mating free parts are supplied with the units, but are also available separately for pre-wiring, testing, or maintenance. Each audio circuit uses a 3-pin connector, so one connector per circuit should be ordered.
