WOHLER AMP2 2U DIGITAL MONITOR SPEAKERS
A range of self-powered 2U rack-mounting monitor speakers with digital inputs, intended for space critical environments where quality monitoring is required. The range includes options for source-selection, visual metering and a variety of input formats.
AMP2-DAX
Stereo monitor with two XLR AES/EBU stereo digital audio inputs, two balanced XLR analogue inputs, and a balanced analogue output of the selected digital input. The front panel has digital/analogue and digital source-selection switches with LED digital signal indication, volume and balance controls, two 53-segment LED meters showing simultaneous VU and PPM, and three-LED phase indication, headphone socket and left, right and woofer loudspeakers.
AMP2-SDAX
Stereo monitor with balanced analogue, AES/EBU stereo digital and SDI BNC digital inputs. Front-panel switches select between analogue and digital, AES and SDI, and between SDI subgroup 1 or 2. SDI loop output, AES output from SDI, and analogue output from selected digital source are provided, with DIP-switch analogue gain selection. The front panel also has volume and balance controls, two 53-segment LED meters showing simultaneous VU and PPM, LED phase indication of selected sources, headphone socket and left, right and woofer loudspeakers.
AMP2-V2DAX
Four-channel monitor with dual AES/EBU digital inputs, four balanced analogue inputs on “Phoenix” connectors, balanced analogue output of decoded digital inputs on “Phoenix” connectors, XLR balanced output of selected sources. Front panel has analogue/digital selection, four 53-segment LED meters showing simultaneous VU and PPM, pushbutton channel selection and summing of analogue and AES channels, LED phase indication of selected sources, headphone socket and left, right and woofer loudspeakers.
AMP2-VSDA
Four-channel monitor with SDI BNC digital input, dual AES/EBU digital input and four-channel balanced analogue inputs. Loop-through SDI output, AES/EBU outputs from SDI and four balanced analogue XLR outputs of decoded SDI or AES/EBU audio, XLR balanced output of selected sources. Front panel has digital/analogue input switch, AES/SDI digital input selector with LED indicators, four 53-segment LED meters showing simultaneous VU and PPM, seperate pushbutton channel selection and summing of analogue, AES/EBU or group one of SDI, volume and balance controls, LED phase indication of selected sources, headphone socket and left, right and woofer loudspeakers.
Phoenix Connectors for Wohler Units
Wohler equipment uses either “Phoenix” or “Mini-Phoenix” connectors for some models (see individual product descriptions). These are two-part terminal-strip connectors. The free part has screw terminals for the incoming cable and plugs into the fixed part built into the equipment. In each case the mating free parts are supplied with the units, but are also available separately for pre-wiring, testing, or maintenance. Each audio circuit uses a 3-pin connector, so one connector per circuit should be ordered.
