CANFORD S-VHS PATCH AND TERMINATION PANELS
Enabling S-VHS, also known as S-Video or Y/C lines, to be patched or easily accessed. All panels have four-pin mini-DIN sockets at the front allowing connection to external equipment or cross-patching with mini-DIN patchcords.
Rear termination is either via mini-DIN sockets suitable to accept premade leads or screw terminals suitable for terminating most S-VHS cables, see “S-VHS cable”. Pre-made installation and patching cables with moulded-plug connectors are available in various lengths; see S-VHS cables and patchcords
Manufactured from a rigid aluminium extrusion, panels are fitted with a cranked lacing-bar giving easy access to the rear sockets or terminating screws. The connector pitch is the same for each style, with connectors centralised on the panel. A designation-strip holder with snap-on cover is fitted above the connector row and permits paper strips to be inserted before or after installation; 7.5mm of printable height is available. Autocad templates for printing designation strips are available for download from the Tech Zone at www.canford.co.uk or by contacting Technical Support.
Available finished in Black. Spare 432mm designation-strip paper (not suitable for printers) and covers are available, see 'Designation strips - snap on'.
Recess rack-mounting brackets are available to recess panels within the rack and an optional tamper-proof cover-plate can be fitted and removed without disturbing the panel mountings, see “Recess rack-mounting brackets and anti-tamper covers”.
Application note:
Where a cover-plate is required to protect patch cords, recess brackets with a depth of 100mm or greater are recommended.
