E-FILMS SDHC MEMORY ADAPTERS
The E-Films MxR and e-LCR memory card adapters allow SDHC memory cards to be used with Sony EX1 and EX3 camcorders. The MxR and e-LCR were engineered from the ground up to allow SDHC cards to be used just like tape. giving the advantages of flash memory, with the security, flexibility and affordability of traditional tape workflows. SDHC offers a small form factor, fast download speeds and high capacity recording. The innovative MxR and e-LCR adapters give you the capability to quickly and easily swap out the SDHC cards on the fly, just like tape. The decreasing costs of SDHC cards now permit the archiving of the original shoot SDHC card.
Supporting 1GB to 32GB SDHC cards, the MxR and e-LCR record all major video formats supported by the Sony EX1 or EX3 cameras. Designed to fit precisely into the Sony EX1 and EX3 drive bay to retain full functionality of camera bay doors, they retain all on-the-fly switching and copying features of the EX series cameras.
The unique push in, push out mechanism in the MXR adapter allows for easy change of SDHC cards to ensure media is always ready to continue shooting. The e-LCR adapter is similar, but features a unique locking mechanism to ensure memory cards cannot be accidentally ejected from the adapter during use. Adapters are supplied complete with a protective plastic case.
The MXR and e-LCR adapters require EX camcorder firmware 1.11.0531 or 1.12. All EX camcorders produced since August 2008 will have the appropriate firmware in place. Units with earlier releases will require firmware upgrades before the adapter can be used. Although 'over cranking' up to 720p/48fps is not a problem, it is recommended that the original camcorder card is used for this mode of operation. To swap memory cards, the adapter should first be ejected from the camera, to ensure the camera recognises the presence of new media.
The E-Films MXR and e-LCR adapters are recommended for us with Transcend SDHC Video cards. Transcend SDHC, Hoodman Raw and Sandisk Ultra II memory cards will also operate with this adapter. Cards from other manufacturers are not proved to work reliably in this application (usually due to controller firmware issues).
