SSM-1 Universal Elastic Suspension

An adjustable elastic-suspension that can accept almost any microphone, straight or tapered, round or rectangular, up to 50mm in diameter, simplifying rigging and inventory. Two cradles are mounted on a 100mm hexagonal bar, together with a stand-mount adapter. Strong elastic loops support almost any shape and size of microphone, and the position of the cradles and the stand-adapter may be adjusted to balance the centre of gravity of the microphone. In normal use, SSM-1 will give 15dB reduction in stand-noise, foot-falls in stage and studio use, “desk-taps” etc. in on-air studios, or handling-noise when boom mounted. For full-length shotgun mics, two cradles may be used on ST-2 adjustable stereo-bar.

ST-2 Adjustable Stereo Bar

This adjustable stereo-bar is suitable for mounting two SSM-1 universal elastic suspensions, or other microphone-clips. It consists of a 200mm hexagonal bar, two pillars providing 3/8” threaded mounting points, and an articulated (5/8” inside diameter) stand-adapter. A thread adapter is supplied for mounting the bar on 3/8” stands etc.
