LYNX TECHNIK GREENMACHINE - CALLISTO - 2 Channel video and audio processing engine plus applications
The greenMachine is a 'new concept of a video and audio processing platform'. The processing hardware is a generic processing unit with a certain set of inputs and outputs and processing power. By installing the different 'APPs' the greenMachine units can be turned into a 'tailored processing unit to fit exactly' the requirements. A cross-point switch is provided as standard at both input and output stages, allowing up to 3G-SDI (HD) on BNC or fibre (with optional SFP) and HDMI input and output selection via the FoC GreenGUI control software.
Additionally two greenMachines can be configured with the Dual Directional Transport APPs (one per machine) to provide transport simultaneously in both directions over two single mode fibres of up to 2x 1.5G or 1x 3G HD-SDI video (BNC) or 1x HDMI, 4x analogue or digital audio and 2x GPI i/o in each direction plus 1x 1Gbit Ethernet circuit. Video inputs (with embedded or HDMI audio) can be selected for each unit, and both SDI (BNC) and HDMI outputs are available. Audio, video and GPI signals are multiplexed electronically, internally and each fibre operates at the 1310 and 1550nm wavelengths. The supplied precision SFPs employ WDM technology which may be optically MUXed with other CWDM wavelengths if LYNX Technik multiplexers are used. (Optical multiplexing of WDM signals cannot be guaranteed if other manufacturers optical multiplexers are used).
The greenMachine can be used as a stand-alone processor or as a system processor that is controlled and monitored either by the greenGUI software or via a third-party master control software.
All 'APPs' are already installed in the unit and can be trialled on a test basis to check performance and system compatibility. An APP purchase provides an unlock code which is emailed to you by Canford's Customer Services team after purchase and verification of the serial number of the greenMachine on which it will be installed. The verification process takes place during normal business hours; overnight and weekend purchases will be processed the next working day. For very urgent requirements or out of working hours, APP licences can be purchased directly from the greenStore by logging in from greenGUI and making payment using a credit card or PayPal.
GreenMachine hardware can be purchased with a number of APP licence packages, in which case the units will be delivered with a pre-paid voucher code for use at the greenStore to download the licence keys.
