Description
WIREWIZARD CABLE TESTER
The Wirewizard is a four-wire cable tester, showing the internal wiring of a cable and its connectors simultaneously using two banks of four multi-colour LEDs. Based on a micro-controller operation, it displays all connection paths, plus short circuits, open circuits and crossed wiring by a single touch on a push button switch.
The eight LEDs represent the contacts of a four wire cable, both ends of which are plugged into the tester. Each LED can illuminate in four different colours. The first detected group of connected contacts will be displayed by red lights. The second, third and fourth detected group of connected contacts will be displayed by green, yellow and blue lights. LEDs remaining dark indicates open contacts. Short circuits (or deliberately paralleled contacts) will show up two or more LEDs illuminated. There is a “no connections” LED which usually indicates that you have no cable plugged into the tester, but can mean that the cable is completely useless. A low battery indicator indicates that the battery should be replaced.
