Description
STUDIO SYSTEMS ELECTRONICS MEDIALINK 500
The Medialink 500 series provides a cost-effective method of transmitting video and audio signals from point to point via a single twisted-pair Cat. 5 (Category 5) cable. This connects on each unit via a standard RJ-45 socket. Broadcast quality signal fidelity is maintained at distances of up to 350 metres. The four different models in the series offer options for full-duplex video and audio (balanced or unbalanced), and RGB/YPbPr or composite video signals. The video distribution is system independent and therefore works with PAL, NTSC or SECAM.
MLT-500/MLR-500
Supports audio and composite video in both directions using a single Cat. 5 twisted-pair cable. The audio interface is unbalanced on RCA (phono), video on BNC.
MLT-500BE/MLR-500BE
Supports balanced audio and composite video in both directions using a single Cat. 5 twisted-pair cable. The MLT-500BE /MLR-500BE are the same as the MLT-500/MLR-500 except that the audio interface is electronically balanced on XLR connectors.
MLT-500BT/MLR-500BT
Supports balanced audio and composite video in both directions using a single Cat. 5 twisted-pair cable. The MLT-500BT /MLR-500BT are the same as the MLT-500/MLR-500 except that the audio interface is transformer balanced on XLR connectors.
MLT-502/MLR-502
This system transmits up to 3 video signals in a single direction over a single Cat. 5 twisted-pair cable. These units are designed for composite video signals but can also be used to transmit 3 component signals (without audio). An additional feature is that power is not required at both ends for Cat. 5 cable lengths of up to 100 metres. For Cat. 5 cable lengths over 100 metres, DC power must be provided at both ends.
