CUSTOM D-SUB ADAPTERS
These exceedingly useful kits make it possible to make-up custom adapters in the field without soldering or crimp tooling. Apart from their obvious purposes, the possibility arises of wiring remote-control logic and the like using standard, low-cost, 9-pin D-sub to D-sub cables, with these adapters used for the custom element of the wiring. Each kit consists of a D-to-D snap-together hood, which accepts two 9-pin D-sub crimp-connectors, plus the appropriate number of pre-terminated wires (including a Y-splitter wire in case it is needed) and the plug or socket crimp housings. Once the wiring is assembled the hoods snap-fit over the D connectors and jack-screws. Available in three wire combinations: plug to plug, socket to socket and plug to socket.
