DFJ SERIES - DIGITAL AUDIO FOIL SCREENED STRANDED CONDUCTOR INDIVIDUALLY JACKETED MULTIPAIR CABLE
Multipair cable based on our very successful DFT ‘Digital Foil Screened Twin ’. Construction is a number of these cables, printed with a core identification, and sheathed overall in PVC. This construction has the advantage that when the outer sheath is stripped off, the inners are jacketed ready for termination directly into connectors etc.
FST has long been one of Canford ’s best selling products - the perfect wireman’s cable, with jacket+foil single stripping. DFT is the true 110 ohm version of FST, similar in most respects, but with differing insulation materials and lay-up to achieve the required characteristic impedance. As with FST, the foil is glued to the outer PVC jacket, so comes away cleanly during stripping.
DFJ is suitable for both digital and analogue audio signals.
