ASC MD-REPORT! PORTABLE RECORDER KIT - With Marantz SD recorder
This compact and lightweight portable recorder package provides a rugged and flexible interface for the Marantz PMD620 SD card recorder making it more suitable for news and interview gathering. The unaltered recorder is fixed to a chassis using existing securing points. The chassis also houses a power supply, professional audio interface, monitoring and standard connectors to the recorder.
This compact and lightweight portable recorder package provides a rugged and flexible interface for the Marantz PMD620 SD card recorder making it more suitable for news gathering and recording interviews. The unaltered recorder is fixed to a chassis using hook and loop fasteners, supplied. The chassis also houses a battery power supply, professional audio interface, monitoring and standard connectors to the recorder.
The power supply takes either four 'D' size dry cells or a single rechargeable battery, which gives 6-8 hours continuous use. Balanced microphone/line inputs are provided using XLR connectors, the mono line output uses an XLR and the stereo line output a 3.5mm stereo jack socket with a maximum input and output level of +20dBu. A switch allows mono recording on both channels from the left input. A level control and source/recorder switch feed the headphone socket, which is a 6.35mm stereo type, and the built-in monitor loudspeaker. The chassis is enclosed in a soft protective case which also has a handy pocket for microphones, adapters, spare cards and similar, and a wide shoulder-strap.
