Description
BAL PASSIVE AES/EBU DIGITAL AUDIO SPLITTERS
AS400M AES/EBU Unbalanced Audio Splitter
The AS400M provides an economical and convenient method of sending a single digital audio signal using 75 ohm coaxial cable to two destinations. Unbalanced audio is taken to a female BNC on the input and unbalanced audio is output through two female BNC connectors. The transformer design minimises loss and provides DC isolation between input and both outputs.
Input: Digital audio to SMPTE 276M-1995, 1Vp-p nominal, 75ohms. Insertion loss: Less than 3.2dB. Output impedance: 75ohms. Note that for correct impedance matching and best performance, the source and destination impedances should be identical, and unused outputs should be terminated with 75ohms.
AS400X AES/EBU Balanced Audio Splitter
Provides a cost-effective means of gaining an additional, broadcast quality, output from an AES/EBU serial digital audio source, with no additional power overhead. Built in a compact die-cast metal case, the transformer design minimizes loss and provides DC isolation between input and both outputs.
Input: One digital audio to AES3 1992, XLR-3 female, 110ohms, balanced. Signal level: 2-7V. Insertion loss: <3.2dB. Outputs: Two digital audio to AES3 1992, each with XLR-3 male, 110ohms, balanced. For optimum performance the input must be fed with a source impedance of 110 ohms, and both outputs should be terminated with 110 ohms at all times.
