RDL FLAT-PAK MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
Hardware to mount Radio Design Labs Flat-Pak modules in standard equipment racks and to DIN-rails and AV equipment poles using only screwdrivers. The RDL Stick-On and TX Series modules may also be fitted to the panels, using adapter kits.
All Flat-Pak modules have the same width, with mounting flanges that offer a variety of fixing options. The flanges have notches for simple fixing to a surface using screws and can be slotted onto RDL 2U rack-mounting panels.
FP-RRA Rack Adapter
A 2U high rack-mounting panel with a mounting track on the rear into which the Flat-Pak modules slide. They may be locked into position using FP-CT1 Cable Tie Brackets. Mounting track length: 445mm. The mounting length required for multiple modules is the sum of the module lengths plus 16.5mm for each power interconnection. Dimensions: 2U rack-mounting, 89 x 482 (h x w) mm.
FP-RRAH Hinged Rack Adapter
A 2U high rack-mounting panel, similar to the FP-RRA, but hinged for easy access to the modules. The panel is opened by turning a knob to release a catch. As a result the length of track available for mounting the modules is reduced to 416mm. The mounting length required for multiple modules is the sum of the module lengths plus 16.5mm for each power interconnection. Dimensions: 2U rack-mounting, 89 x 482 (h x w) mm.
FP-PSB1A Power Supply Mounting Bracket
The FP-PSB1A mounts an RDL PS-24V2 power supply to any flat surface or in an RDL Flat-Pak series rack mount panel such as the FP-RRA or FP-RRAH. Any RDL FP-PA20 type audio power amplifier can mount directly to the FP-PSB1A. Also includes a provision to mount 4 STICK-ON modules by adding the ST-PBR4 (See RDL STICK-ON Mounting Accessories for further information). The design of the FP-PSB1A allows it to slide into the Flat-Pak rack mount track.
FP-CT1 Cable Tie Bracket
A plated metal bracket that slides into the track on the rear of the FP-RRA and FP-RRAH panels, and provides a convenient point to attach cable bundles. A set-screw allows the installer to fix the bracket in place. A Flat-Pak module may be secured in position by using an FP-CT1 at each end, particularly useful in mobile applications. An aperture is provided to clear power supply connection cables.
MB-3 Mounting Kit
An accessory to attach RDL TX Series or Stick-On modules to the rear of the FP-RRA and FP-RRAH panels. The TX types screw to the plate through fixing apertures provided; the Stick-Ons, well, stick on (!) using the adhesive pad supplied. The plate then slides into the rear of the Rack panels as if it were Flat-Pak module. Plate width: 38mm.
PM-1V Pole Mount Adapter
A kit of two U-shaped brackets which fit round a 38mm pole, as used for some projector and other AV mountings. A flat-Pak module is screwed to the brackets clamping the pole between the brackets and the base of the Flat-Pak. The inner face of the U-brackets has a rubber strip which helps grip the pole and allows for minor variations in diameter. The brackets can also fix modules to any smaller round or rectangular pole, using the included screws and clamp plates.
PM-20VA Pole Mount Adapter, for FP-PA20 plus Power Supply
This is made up of a metal cradle (similar to a DRA-35P), to fit round an RDL PS-24V2 power supply, fixed to a pair of brackets similar to the PM-1V adapter. The assembly can be fixed to poles as the PM-1V, using the FP-PA20 amplifier to clamp the pole, or by using the clamp bar included to fix smaller poles. The vertical faces of the clamp can also provide a mounting surface for Stick-On and TX series modules. A complete assembly including amplifier, power supply and processing/interface modules may thus be fastened, for example, to a ceiling pole.
DRA-35F DIN Rail Adapter
A pair of two-part brackets which clip onto a 35mm 'top hat' DIN rail. Any Flat-Pak can then be attached to the brackets with the screws supplied.
