Description
TOTALSYSTEMS STUDIO MIXING PRE-AMPLIFIER
SPA2
This stylish unit is ideal as an interface for semi-professional equipment in studios, as an input or monitor extender, or as a stand-alone transfer/dubbing/copying controller. The SPA2 has 8 stereo input channels with separate front panel gain presets. Inputs 1-6 are unbalanced on gold plated phono connectors, and inputs 7-8 are balanced XLR connectors. There are 4 stereo unbalanced ‘Record’ outputs, a balanced main output and 2 parallel headphone jacks. Source selection is by pressing numbered front panel buttons, singly or in combination, with LED indication of active sources. A tape/source button toggles between the source selection and ‘tape’ inputs 1-4, selected by repeated pushes of the tape monitor button, with separate LED indication. Main controls are a large gain control with calibrated 100dB range, bypassed by a recessed ‘fix’ button, mono button, balance control (source selection only) and separate headphone level. Both headphone jacks and channel 1 inputs and outputs are on the front panel so that additional or portable machines may be easily plugged in.
