TOA MEETING AMPLIFIERS
Compact and lightweight portable amplifiers with built-in speakers for voice reinforcement and low-level music playback for small meetings. Options are available to incorporate a cassette player and radio-microphone receivers into the units to make an all-in-one solution. Power is AC or internal batteries.
WA-1822
Built in a tough, moulded, ABS case, the front of the amplifier presents a clean appearance, with a speaker grille, a horn tweeter aperture and LED indicators which show when signal is received from the optional radiomic receivers, and power status. Two telescopic antennae retract into the top. A handle hinges up from a recessed area where there is a power switch, LEDS which mimic the display on the front panel and volume controls for the two optional radiomic receivers and the wired microphone input.
On a sloping rear panel are the wired microphone input (2-pole 6.35mm jack), an input tone control, Aux output connector (2-pole 6.35mm jack), and Aux input which has dual RCA (phono) connectors, mixing a stereo input such as a cd player to mono. To the left of this is a blank space, used in the WA-1822C for the cassette mechanism. Below this is the battery compartment, taking eight ‘D’ cells in a removable cartridge, and a cover which opens to reveal storage for up to three microphones, an internal speaker on/off switch, screw-terminals for external speaker, IEC mains inlet, and compartments for the installation of two optional radiomic receivers.

WA-1822C
This model is supplied with a record/replay cassette mechanism ready fitted, but is otherwise as the WA-1822. The deck has it’s own volume control, and features variable-speed auto-reverse and dual direction operation. It also has a function to detect periods of silence in the recorded material while fast winding or rewinding and then pause, waiting for the operator to initiate the next replay. Continuous play may be selected. Battery life is reduced.
WTU-4800 UHF Diversity Radiomic Receiver
Up to two of these modules may be plugged into the dedicated bays in the WA-1822/WA-1822C. They connect to the internal circuitry and built -in antennae. There are 16 channels, operating 854.9-864.725 MHz, which may be selected using a screwdriver from the outside of the case. They work with TOA radiomics WM-4220/4210, WM4310H. Order separately.
WM-4210/4220 UHF Hand-held Radio Microphones
Hand-held, synthesised types with internal antenna, fitting in storage compartment of WA1822/1822C meeting amplifiers. On/off switch. 16 channels, selectable, operating on 854.9-864.725 MHz. 4210/4220 have dynamic/electret heads, 130/125 dB SPL maximum. Dimensions: 50/45mm diameter, 235mm length. Powered by single PP3 battery, minimum life 10 hours (alkaline types). Flashing LED indicates low battery. Supplied with stand adapter, storage case. For use with WTU-4800, order separately.
WM-4310/4310H UHF Belt-pack Radio Microphones
Belt-pack, synthesised transmitters, with lavalier (4310) or headset (4310H). Electret condenser cardioid microphone elements, 120dB SPL maximum. Input sensitivity control. Belt-pack dimensions: 62 x 142 x 32 (w x h x d) mm. Fitted with rotating belt clip. Powered by single PP3 battery, minimum life 10 hours (alkaline types). Flashing LED indicates low battery. For use with WTU-4800, order separately.
