Description

RACK INTERFACE PANELS

These rack-mounting panels are designed to provide an interface for large numbers of circuits, either for pre-wiring equipment bays or inter-area connections. Interfaces can be useful to allow increased pre-wiring of an installation and also to allow isolation during maintenance and fault-finding. The panels consists of a recessed connector plate for 20 × 56-way (or 521 series multi-media) or 16 × 90-way EDAC panel-mount connectors mounted on 4U rack-mounting side-cheeks. Connector cut-outs are offset, so that cables may be dressed neatly, and are punched so that the connector can be front or rear-mounted after wiring. A basic panel requires a back-plate and side-cheeks, ordered separately. The side-cheeks kit includes all the necessary hardware to fix the assembly together. Lacing-bars are available as extra options. Connectors and connector fixing screws should be ordered separately as required.
