CUSTOM CONSOLES MOTORISED WORKSTATIONS - SystemTwo
Developed for use as an edit or graphics workstation, SystemTwo is a range of components to create a motorised workstation where the height of the screen and the keyboard work surfaces cam be set independently. With the emphasis on creating an ergonomic, yet stylish solution, Custom Consoles included further components, including equipment racks and floor pedestals, to match the design of the desk itself.
Work surfaces are CNC machined MDF with oak facing and sculptured, chocolate-coloured, moulded-polyurethane edging and detail. Steelwork is powder-coated with a Silver semi-gloss finish to RAL 9006. Alternative finishes are available to special order. Please contact Sales for assistance. SystemTwo has been designed to allow the user to make adjustments to suit their individual needs, and in addition vary their posture throughout the working day. It has successfully met the relevant requirements of the following standards: BS EN ISO 9241-5 Ergonomic requirements; BS EN527-1 Dimensional requirements; BS 6396 Cable management; BS 4875-5, 6 and 7 Structural integrity.
Assembly
The individual components of a SystemTwo order are delivered assembled. The customer can complete the fitting of the pedestal follower-spacer to either side of the desk, on site.
SystemTwo Desk - S2-01B
Providing a spacious working area, of approximately 2000mm x 750mm, with semi-circular ends, this can be adjusted electrically in height from 660mm to 1200mm by means of 'up' and 'down' buttons on the front edge. These operate the soft-start, soft-stop control system which also limits the maximum and minimum height of the desk. Three cable slots, with larger cut-outs in the centre to pass through connectors, are positioned along the rear and lead to cable-management facilities in the steel spine underneath the worktop and a four-way power distribution panel, which has three available UK 13A individually fused sockets and a two-metre captive cable to a UK 13A plug.
Two steel legs with inbuilt actuators support the work surface. A steel support passes under the surface, limiting the possibilities for setting equipment into the surface. (Please contact Technical Support for detailed drawings). They are fitted with feet which may be adjusted for irregularities in the floor.

SystemTwo Rear Shelf - S2-02B
This may be used in conjunction with the SystemTwo desk or standing alone. Very similar to the desk, this has a smaller work surface of some 2000mm x 550mm, again with sculpted shape and semi-circular ends. There are no cable slots. Again this is mounted on a steel frame with adjustable feet, which may be attached to the frame of the desk to maintain the relative spacing of the two. The shelf uses a control system and jack-system identical to the one used by the desk to achieve the same height adjustment range of 600-1200mm. Below the shelf is a six-way power distribution panel which has five available UK 13A individually fused sockets and a two-metre captive cable to a UK 13A plug.

SystemTwo Under-Shelf Pod - S2-06B
Up to two of these pods may be attached to the underside of the Rear Shelf, with mounting positions in the centre and to both sides. These are constructed of melamine-faced MDF to present a 3U aperture for mounting 19 inch panels or equipment, facing the user at an angle of 30 degrees from vertical. Rack strip is fitted to the front; the rear is open.

SystemTwo Pedestal - S2-03B
Floor standing and fitted with castors, this has 13U of rack-strip at both the front and rear, to mount 19-inch equipment such as recorders patch-bays and power supplies. The curved top, finished to match the SystemTwo Desk work-surface, is also curved to match the end of the work-top, so the pedestal may be moved around the end of the desk to a splayed position while still presenting a minimum gap between the two. A follower-spacer insures that a safe distance is maintained, to avoid unfortunate accidents when lowering and raising the desk. This is a shaped sheet of finished MDF which attaches to the leg of the desk and extends to the underside of the pedestal, where it attaches to form a pivot which guides the pedestal around the desk at a safe difference. A pedestal may be positioned at either or both ends of the desk. Both sides and rear are melamine-faced, and have ventilation slots. The rear door may be removed by releasing a catch. A stabiliser pulls out from the front at the bottom, for use when heavy equipment, mounted on slides, is pulled from the rack, avoiding the whole pedestal falling forwards due to the weight.

SystemTwo Bay - S2-08B
This is a 19-inch equipment rack, offering 27U of rack-mounting space. It is constructed form melamine faced MDF bard, finished to match the other items in the SystemTwo range. Structural strength is achieved by two substantial steel frames, positioned to the front and rear, with integral punched metal rack-strips. In addition there is a cable-tray at the rear. There is ventilation and cable-access in the base; hot air escapes from a slot around the periphery of the top and vents in the rear door. Castors are fitted and a stabiliser pulls out from the front at the bottom, for use when heavy equipment, mounted on slides, is pulled from the rack. There is no front door. The rear door may be removed by releasing a catch.

SystemTwo Quiet Bay - S2-07B
Similar to the Bay, this is a 19-inch rack cabinet, fitted with front and rear doors and a fan unit to increase internal ventilation. It is constructed in the same manner as the S2-08B, but has in addition a timber door, with inset glass window, at the front. The rear door may be removed by releasing a catch. The front door will be hung at the left as standard; please specify at the time of ordering if it is to be hung at the right. The fan unit mounts on the rear door, and has a temperature read-out and manually adjustable fan-speed. Again, the bay is fitted with cable-tray, castors and stabiliser.
Maximum load: 180kg. Height: 1407mm. Footprint: 610 x 885(w x d)mm. Equipment mounting space: 1200.2 x 483(h x w)mm, (27U x 19 inches), 740mm internal depth, except the upper 4U(where the fan unit is mounted), 610mm. Spacing, front rack strip to rear rack strip: 577mm.
SystemTwo Bay Follower - S2-12
This attaches to the bottom of a Bay or Quiet Bay when it is positioned adjoining the end of a SystemTwo Desk. A shaped sheet of finished MDF, it attaches to the leg of the desk and extends to the underside of the Bay, where it attaches to form a pivot which guides the Bay around the desk at a safe difference.
