Description
NUMARK TTUSB TURNTABLE - with USB audio interface and software
This 'plug and play', USB-compatible turntable allows vinyl records to be digitised and stored on PC or Mac in MP3 or WAV format. It also includes an analogue input connector to facilitate the transfer of cassette tapes, or similar sources, to computer files, making it suitable for archiving older recordings, regardless of their original format. An analogue output is also available for connection to a stereo playback system.
The analogue input uses a 3.5mm stereo jack, and takes signals from the line outputs of domestic sound systems. These are routed to the computer by the USB interface. The analogue output has an internal pre-amplifier and connects through two RCA (phono) connectors with a switch to select levels suitable for either the phono or line inputs of domestic playback equipment.
It is supplied with cables to connect with a computer and stereo playback system, along with PC and Mac compatible Audacity software which supports high-speed recording and exports to WAV or MP3 files. Audacity additionally provides a wide range of easy to use software tools for editing the transferred files including the removal of clicks, pops and other undesirable characteristics of vinyl or analogue tape recordings.
Features include: 33 1/3 and 45 RPM playback, with 78 RPM support via software, belt drive, adjustable pitch control +/-10% and an adjustable anti-skate control for increased stereo balancing.
Minimum system requirements: Windows 2000/XP/Vista, USB 1.1 port or Mac OS X 10.3.x, USB 1.1 port.
