Description
PCB POWER SUPPLIES
A dual-rail linear DC power supply module built on 100 x 160mm standard Eurocard fully legended PC boards. These are ideal for powering low noise audio designs and most op-amp circuits. Units are supplied preset and tested for ±24V DC output, but the voltage of either rail may easily be varied by the user using a 24-turn pot to any voltage from 1.2V to the limit of regulation (load dependent but typically about 2 volts above nominal). The IC regulators used are of the LM317/337 type which provide a low noise, well-regulated supply. The regulated outputs are short-circuit protected and are brought out with both the unregulated rails to a 9 pin connector, which mates to a screw terminal socket (supplied). Two green LEDs indicate the presence of each regulated output voltage; these can be extended using the connector fitted. The mains input is on a 3-way terminal block which mates with a screw terminal connector (supplied). A low-hum custom toroidal mains transformer is used. No mains voltages are present on any PC board tracks. Units are supplied set for 240V AC, but are readily rewired for 220V AC if required. They can also be rewired to 110V AC. Provision is made on the PCB for separating mains earth from 0V, and for fitting extra filter components on the outputs. Height: 38mm, input voltage: 240V AC, preset output voltage: 24-0-24V DC, maximum load (per rail): 620mA. Manufactured by Canford.
