Description
HOODMAN WRISTSHOT CAMCORDER SUPPORT SYSTEM
The WristShot is a cuff which fits around the lower forearm and wrist, with an articulated arm to mount a camcorder. The result transfers the weight of the camcorder to the forearm, eliminating wrist fatigue, increasing stability and freeing up the hand to operate the camera.
The cuff is made of a padded polycarbonate moulding and is fastened to the forearm using hook and loop straps. It is adjustable to suit most body shapes and sizes. The mounting system has five axis adjustments to suit most shooting styles. Camcorders up to 4.5kg in weight may be fitted using the quick-release mounting system in as little as 5 seconds, once the cuff is in place. A quick-release plate is fitted onto the base of the camcorder, using a thumbscrew with a standard tripod thread, in a manner familiar to most camcorder tripod users. This can then be snapped into the support system on the cuff when required.
In order to make transitions from hand-holding to tripod-mounted shooting, the WristShot is supplied with a tripod quick-release adapter, which will accept the plate screwed to the base of the camcorder. The adapter has a threaded hole to fit it to any tripod or other camera support which has a standard 1/4 inch mounting screw.
