PMC MODULAR POWER AMPLIFIERS
Digital mono power amplifiers with high performance, yet small enough and light enough to mount on the rear of speaker cabinets. The cases are sealed against dust and paperclips, the inputs are balanced, and they consume very little power; highly appropriate for a studio monitor amplifier, left switched on all day.
DS-001
The efficiency of the power supply and the amplifier section results in 92% total conversion rate, reducing heat considerably. The DS-001 produces an astonishing 200 watts onto 4 ohms, with a flat frequency response curve under all loads due to its intelligent single feedback loop circuit that senses the loudspeaker’s load and adjusts the response accordingly.
The front of the aluminium case has a power switch, a power LED and a rotary volume control offering 30dB range (min 16dB, centre detent 22dB, max 33dB). The rear is equally bare, with just an IEC power inlet, an XLR-3 female balanced input and a Neutrik NL4 locking loudspeaker output.
