TASCAM DVD PLAYERS
The DV-D01U is a 1U, rack-mountable DVD player with a powered loading-tray capable of reading a range of media formats. With many playback modes available, the player delivers audio and video with its HDMI outputs as well as more traditional video outputs.

The player reads DVD Video and DVD Audio (2-channel only) discs, Video CDs, CD-DA, and data discs containing MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG, ASF, MPEG-2/MPEG-1 or DivX files. In addition, the player is capable of playing back correctly finalised DVD +R/+RW discs. Both NTSC and PAL formats are supported although usual region locking restraints apply. Several playback modes and modifiers are available, including progressive scan mode; slow motion; frame-by-frame playback; brightness, contrast, gamma and saturation controls; a zoom function and 'shuffle', 'random' and 'program' track playback modes. Enabled or disabled by a switch on the back panel of the player is the 'Power-on-Play' function which, when enabled, will cause the unit to automatically turn on and, if a disc has already been inserted, play the disc. Basic transport controls are on the front of the unit but the included infra-red controller allows the user to take advantage of all the unit's features.
Outputs mounted on the rear of the unit are: HDMI (v1.1) for audio and video, RCA(phono) composite video, component video, S-Video, unbalanced RCA (phono) 2-channel audio and optical digital audio. The HDMI and optical audio outputs can pass Dolby Digital and DTS surround streams for later decoding. Extensive control of the DV-D01U is possible by the bi-directional RS-232 interface accessed by the 9-pin D-sub on the rear panel. Power source: 230V AC 50Hz, 11W.
