AUDIONICS LAN ENABLED AUDIO COMBINER
Part of a family of products used to develop audio systems for broadcast or audio visual applications that can be controlled without the need for hardware control panels, the combiner, or mixing matrix, mixes eight stereo analogue inputs to any or all of eight stereo analogue outputs, controlled through a LAN, WAN or the internet using a PC.
eMM88 LAN Enabled 8 x 8 Audio Combiner
The eMM88 has an embedded web server, which enables up to four clients to open socket connections. A simple protocol enables the status of the unit to be interrogated or cross-points to be set/unset. In addition the web server can be accessed via standard web browsers; an embedded Java applet provides a graphical indication of the status and control of the cross-points. A Windows based GUI is supplied. The control protocol is available from Audionics, enabling users to develop their own applications. The combiner can be integrated into broadcast playout systems under direct control of the playout software, or in audio visual system applications controlled centrally from Crestron or AMX control systems.
The stereo inputs can be individually selected to feed any or all of eight mixing busses. Each output has an independent gain adjustment of +6dB to -14dB, allowing the unit to drive domestic equipment directly. The outputs will drive either balanced and unbalanced circuits without affecting the gain of other outputs.
The front panel of the case has only LED indicators for LAN, TX and ON. The rear panel has the IEC power inlet with associated fuse, an RJ45 socket for the ethernet connection, and a 9-pin female D-sub connector for system setup using RS232 protocol. A female 37-pin D-sub connector carries eight stereo, electronically balanced, high impedance audio inputs. A male version has eight stereo, electronically balanced, low impedance audio outputs.
