The Canford Clearance List has just been updated with more price reductions and additional items. These are all completely new and unused products from our warehouse that we have decided to let go at ‘give away’ prices as we head towards our year-end stocktake. In all cases, stocks are limited, often just one or two, so early action is recommended. There are loads of slightly dusty items that have been on the shelves for some time, which we would prefer to go a good home rather than into our skip, priced at 10p, 5p or even 1p!

Canford is launching additions to their extensive range of MDUs, the new 32A MDU10 series. Also showing will be three new products from Sonifex – the RB-DS2 stereo digital delay and two of the new Sonifex 1U rack-mounted reference monitors, the 4 channel RM-2S4 and the 8 channel RM-4C8. Also the new Hoodman Wristshot. These products and others can be seen at IBC on our stand in Hall 9 E10 (9.E10).

PLASA 2008 runs from September 7th – 10th and we’ll be showing a range of our latest products. These include three new Tecpro Beltpacks and the recently released Tecpro MS745 Master Station. Other products include the stand-alone Telex SYS243 Wireless intercom system (which may be interfaced to Tecpro wired products) and the SuperRod pulling system recently voted the ‘Best new product of the last 50 years’. …and begins re-using. One of the biggest impacts Canford has on the environment is in our necessary use of packaging in various forms. From this point forward Canford will re-use all boxes and other packaging materials wherever possible when packing your order for despatch, a scheme that is even more environmentally friendly than recycling as no energy input is required.

Canford has announced the relaunch of their plastic cable trays. These tough utilitarian products are Canford designed and provide many advantages over the more traditional steel offerings not the least of which being their lighter weight and ease of cutting to appropriate lengths.

Panamic booms are currently being used exclusively on productions of series Tank Overhaul, the History Channel programme. Paul Adlaf, the award winning Canadian sound recordist from Toronto is the sound man for the show and swears by the products. It’s currently being filmed at The Imperial War Museum at Duxford in the UK.

Britannia Row Productions, the world renowned live production specialist, has just taken delivery of a large quantity of Tecpro headsets and RTS beltpacks and power supplies. Britannia Row was able to ask Canford to customise the headsets to make them compatible with the RTS beltpacks.

Kevin Carpenter is one of The World’s leading trick shot performers and is also the golf pro at the famous Celtic Manor resort just outside Cardiff. He has just bought a Chiayo portable PA system from Canford for his performances, which he says is ideal as he prepares for the 2008 World Trick Shot Championships.
