The DN-300UI is an internet receiver and digital FM tuner designed for use in audio installations including education, retail, leisure and hotels. As well as terrestrial FM stations, over 20,000 internet radio stations from worldwide locations can be accessed and stored into the 250 user preset slots. Connection to the internet can be made wired using the RJ45 Ethernet port or wireless connection can be made via the supplied WLAN antenna. In both instances a router with internet connection is required.
An unbalanced auxiliary input via dual RCA (phono) connectors on the rear and an unbalanced 3.5mm, 3-pole, jack socket on the front panel, can be used to input an external audio source such as CD player, or smart phone. WMA and MP3 media can be accessed and played back from a USB memory stick inserted in the socket on the front panel. An 'Information Center' feature allows the user to view current and forecasted weather from global cities or financial information such as stock index information and exchange rates, on the dimmable colour display on the front facing panel. The display can also be set to monochrome if preferred.
