A flexible, single conductor screened cable suitable for inter-wiring when space really is at a premium. At 0.6mm in diameter this is one of the smallest cables of its type. The screen is helically wound, with a Kevlar strengthened centre conductor. This cable is not at all easy to work with, but if you need a screened cable this small you don’t have much choice about the matter.
It must be stressed that most users will find this cable extremely difficult to work with, but with the aid of magnification, fine tools and nimble fingers, success can be obtained after some practice. It should also be noted that because the copper wires are interwoven with Kevlar fibres to give the cable its strength, a higher soldering temperature is required than for plain copper. The bit temperature should be around 370°C. Care must be taken not to melt the insulation.
