Deltron are the largest and most well known manufacturer of phono connectors in the UK. All plugs (except economy type 425) feature a patented T-slot spring action on the ring/shell contact, ensuring positive contact with any make of phono socket. Note that in many countries this connector type is known as the RCA connector.
Plugs
Plastic cover connector with nickel plated hollow pin. Cable entry diameter 4.0mm.
The most popular plug in the range. Hollow silver plated brass tip, nickel plated brass cover, noryl insulation, wrap-over type cable clamp. Supplied with nickel plated spring style strain relief cable maximum entry diameter 5.5mm, strain relief can be omitted to increase cable entry diameter to 7.2mm.
As type 330, but hollow flash gold plated tip, flash gold plated body and strain relief.
Solid flash gold plated brass tip, anodised aluminium cover (8mm longer than 330 series), PTFE insulation, larger wrap-over type cable clamp. Supplied with black chrome plated spring style strain relief, cable entry diameter 5.5mm, strain relief can be omitted to increase cable entry diameter to 7.2mm.
Panel sockets
Panel mounting turned brass socket, nickel plated, nut fixing, black plastic inserts. Panel hole 7.2mm, supplied singly.
Deluxe sockets
Gold plated panel mounting sockets, nut fixing, available as feed-through, solder or PCB mount types, all with coloured rings for identification. Teflon insulation, earth contact making first on plug insertion. Standard type supplied with panel insulating spacers for use if signal earth is required to be isolated from chassis earth. Feed-through type require a panel hole 9.4mm (without spacers) or 10.8mm (with spacers). Solder type require a panel hole 7.8mm (without spacers) or 9.7mm (with spacers). PCB mount types have chassis earth isolated from signal earth and require a panel hole 12.5mm. Note that these connector types are not manufactured by Deltron, but are included in this entry for ease of reference.
