AUDIO TECHNICA SMARTMIXERS
Audio Technica analogue and digital smart mixers accept multiple microphone and/or line input sources and output an automatically controlled mix to various audio equipment in environments such as conference rooms, lecture theatres, teleconferencing, education classrooms, and board rooms.
ATDM-0604 Digital Smartmixer
This 6-channel stereo mixer automatically mixes up to six microphone/line inputs by using either gating or gain sharing.
All audio connections on the rear panel are via 'Euroblock' (Phoenix style) detachable terminal blocks. There are four balanced microphone, along with two balanced and switchable microphone/line inputs and single unbalanced stereo input. There are three outputs: one output is a stereo unbalanced output, the two others are balanced mono outputs. There are also an RJ45 network port and two 'Audio Technica Link' ports via two further RJ45 connectors to connect six ATDM-0604 mixers via Cat5e cable for simultaneous use within an expanded setup. A 24-bit, USB 2.0 type B, connector conveys a single stereo channel of audio in and a single channel of stereo output to and from a computer. The AC power inlet takes an IEC type C7 connector.
The front panel has all user controls, including power on/off switch, mode button, and rotary encoder for adjusting settings. There is an input selection button, LED indicator and signal/peak LED for each channel. The output section has a selection button and output signal/peak LED indicator.
When connected to compatible device, the ATDM-0604 can be set up and controlled remotely over IP. Remote control includes gain sharing settings, 4-band parametric EQ, mix levels, LF shelf, +48V phantom power, and routing for inputs. A 12-band parametric equaliser, dynamic control including compression and limiter, -10dBV drop adjustment and 8-band feedback suppression can be applied remotely to the output stage. Echo and noise cancellation can also be operated remotely to achieve the cleanest possible signal for all open microphones.
Inputs: 0dBu, microphone, maximum; +24dBu, line, maximum; +10dBV, stereo, maximum. Maximum gain: 64 dB. Noise: 90 dB or more signal to noise, A-weighted. Dynamic range: 110 dB or more, A-weighted. Maximum output level: +24dBu/+20dBV/+10dBV, output 1/2 (balanced); +10dBV/-33dBV, Output 3 (unbalanced) Power source: 100V to 240V, 17W. Dimensions: 217 x 326 x 44 (WxDxH)mm, (1U half size). Weight: 1.85 kg.
Included accessories: AC power cable, 10 Euroblock connectors, 1U rack mounting kit, 4 rubber feet
This is a processor controlled, four channel, automatic microphone mixer intended for sound reinforcement, teleconferencing and other applications where unattended control of microphones is required, such as remote interview studios for broadcasting. There are interfaces for linking multiple mixers to increase the available inputs, and triggering external devices such as speaker selectors, camera switchers, and indicator lights.
Constructed in a 1U half-rack width case, supplied complete with rack mount kit, the mixer uses a separate AC adapter (supplied), or other 12V AC/15V DC supply. The rear panel has four balanced microphone inputs via 3-pin female XLR connectors, with 12V phantom power selectable on each channel, which may be switched between microphone and line level. A single output, via male 3-pin XLR, is switchable between microphone and line level. There are multi-pin linking connectors and a terminal strip for control voltage outputs.
The front panel has four input gain controls with associated status LEDs, a 7 LED output level display, master threshold and priority pre select controls, plus master output level control. The mixer may be used in three automatic modes, 'free for all' (or 'City Council'), 'first come first served' (or 'Filibuster'), or 'chairman override'. In each mode the non active microphones are not muted, but attenuated by a preset amount in the range of 6-20dB, and the system leaves the last used microphone open to give continuity of ambient noise. A manual mode switch permits use as a conventional mixer.
Inputs: -20dBu maximum, 4k ohms, microphone; +30dBu maximum, 30k ohms, line. Maximum gain: 70dB. Response: 60-30000Hz, -3dB. Dynamic range: 75dB maximum (A-weighted) +/-10dB, dependent on gain control settings. Dimensions:
