The LL1575 is a high-bandwidth transformer designed for CCTV (closed circuit television) use, but can be useful in certain broadcast applications. It can be used where there are differences in earth potential between video circuits, such as between different locations on a site, which can cause disturbance to the video signal with the introduction of supply frequency noise ("hum") and at worst can be a safety issue.
Due to the very wide bandwidth requirements of TV applications, the LL1575 is wound with a special, bifilar winding technique and uses Lundahl's proprietary amorphous strip core. PCB pins require 1.5mm hole, and are spaced 5.08mm apart, 22.86mm between rows.
Whilst the transformer is capable of broadcast-class performance, by it's very nature, it blocks the DC part of the luminance information, which has negligible effect on picture quality in most circumstances.
