The Apart PC1000R MKII is a 1U rackmount CD, USB and SD card media player intended for commercial audio applications. It is suitable for a wide variety of installations such as group exercise and dance studios, retail environments and visitor centres where music playback is required.

A tray-loading CD drive, compatible with DVD, MP3 and audio CD, is presented on the front panel along with USB and SD card sockets. The PC1000R MKII accepts media cards of up to 32GB capacity and is compatible with MP3 and WMA files.

Discrete USB and SD media player sockets exist on the rear. The system defaults to playback from these inputs when compatible media is inserted, providing security against unauthorised media removal and greater control over the audio content played.

The maximum analogue output level can be pre-set from a rear-mounted control-knob, providing the contractor with control and the ability to balance output level with other audio sources.

A 'Playmode' switch can be set to 'Auto Play' or 'Cue'. When the PC1000R MKII is in 'Auto Play', it will start playing automatically on power up. In 'Cue' mode, it waits for a play command. Input selection and transport control is via the control panel, infrared remote (supplied), or RS-232.

Balanced analogue output (R/L) is provided via 3-pin male XLRs. Unbalanced output is via RCA phono sockets. Digital output is via optical (Toslink) or coaxial connector. An external infrared control eye can be connected via 3.5mm jack socket.
