First trading 40 years ago as an audio distributor in the UK, Canford has developed its’ offering year on year. In 2000 the group purchased a Sheet Metal fabricator, to start Canford manufacturing base in the UK to manufacture their own panels. Continuing their success, EMO, suppliers of professional audio equipment was purchased Tecpro quickly followed in the groups growing portfolio providing complete wired intercom solutions for live events. In 2012 Enclosure Systems, manufacturers and suppliers of 19” cabinets was purchased. The secret of Canford’s success 40 years on? Continuing to adapt to the needs of the market place, seize opportunities and meet customer demands on a global level.
Canford is now one of Europe’s largest suppliers and manufacturers of broadcast, commercial audio and pro audio equipment, exporting to over 150 countries worldwide with a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East and Russia also supplying to smaller locations such as Saint Helena and the Marshall Islands.
Continuing their expansion plans, in May 2015 Canford opened its first office in Dubai. Exporting their products to partners in the region for over 20 years, the new office has provided exceptional partner support at a local level. Led by Danny Zacharia, Business Development Manager who has worked in the region for many years, he now brings his experience and knowledge of working within the Media and Communications sector in providing dedicated solutions for Canford’s partners throughout the Middle East.
