Best known for their bespoke designs commissioned by many of the UK’s leading broadcasters, Custom Consoles have specifically designed the Media Desk system to fill the need for an ergonomic adjustable working environment for desktop editing systems, yet available as a standard product. The Media Desk itself features two working surfaces which may be independently adjusted for height allowing the user to adjust their posture throughout the working day. A matching floor-standing pedestal and ‘under-shelf’ pods are available to rack-mount 19" equipment.
Media Desk
The two work surfaces are constructed of MDF, finished in ‘Winchester Oak’ melamine with a chocolate brown, impact resistant polyurethane moulded edge. Both surfaces feature a gentle radius on the long dimension, and have semi-circular ends. The styling matches the Custom Consoles M-Desk range, which have single surface tops and a range of storage options, useful when integrating technical and office environments.
Both surfaces are mounted on rigid extruded aluminium pillars which slide in the extruded legs. A single winding-handle for each surface moves the surface up and down to suit the preferences of the user or the needs of the task. The handle for the rear surface is removable, and the front handle is retractable.
Dimensions: Two surfaces, each nominally 1800 x 550mm cover a nominal floor area of 1800 x 1100mm . Height of each surface may be independently adjusted from 660-900mm. maximum load per surface: 100kg. The Media Desk achieves the following standards: BS EN ISO9241-5 Ergonomic requirements, BS EN 527-1 Dimensional requirements, BS4875-5, 6, and 7 Structural strength. The desks are supplied fully assembled.
Equipment Pod
Finished in Winchester Oak and fitted with punched strip for rack-mounting equipment, these pods are mounted underneath the 'equipment' surface. A single pod may be mounted centrally, or two may be mounted side-by side. They are supplied assembled. Internal dimensions: 3U height x 375mm depth. Order separately.
PC Clamp
This adjustable clamp fits to any M-Desk leg, to support a PC case in a vertical position. Maximum case size: 210 x 480 (w x h) mm.
Media Desk Pedestal
Constructed using the Winchester Oak melamine faced MDF to match the main desk. The base has a large cut-out for ventilation, and is supported by four castors. Front and back are fitted with rack-mounting angles. Supplied assembled. Internal rack-mounting height: 13U, depth 630mm. Dimensions: 664 x 789 x 720 (w x d x h) mm overall.
