CANFORD RACKS - Accessories - Fans, Hardware - For Proline Series

Cooling fans, shelves, PDUs, earth kits, castors, feet hinged rear sections and additional 19-inch, rack-mounting strips for use with the Proline Series cabinets.

Cooling Fans

Supplied as two fan modules, complete with fans and on/off switch, these fan units fit in the roof of all Canford Proline Series wall cabinets. Available in grey and black finish. Power is connected to the modules via a captive, unterminated, 2 metre cable.

Each fan has an air flow capacity of 2.3-3 cubic metres per minute, spinning at 2550-2750 rpm. Fan noise: 42 - 47dB. Fan lifespan: 50000 Hours. Power source: 220/240V AC, 50/60Hz, 13.8/11.8W.

Modem Shelves

These are ventilated, steel trays which mount on the external face of the front or rear 19-inch rack-mounting profiles of most racks and cabinets, using captive nuts and screws, included. Used traditionally to accommodate modems, these cantilever-style shelves provide a means of supporting small items of equipment in a rack. They are available in heights of 1U and 2U. Depths range between 200mm and 350mm. Finish: Light grey, RAL 7035, or black, RAL 9005.

Code Shelf depth Height Load capacity
15-2362 / 15-2361 200mm 1U 30kg
15-2358 / 15-2357 250mm 1U 30kg
15-2360 / 15-2359 350mm 2U 30kg

PDUs

A range of power distribution units available with a variety of connector types. All units have an extruded aluminium housings, and are finished in black.
All types are 1.5U rack-mounting, have a shrouded switch with cover, and have an attached 3 metre input cable with plug of the same type as the outlet connectors. Case depth is 45mm for all types.

Earth Kits

Used to provide a central point for equipment earth connections. Available in three styles with 6, 10 or 44 earth points. Each supplied with 4x 4mm diameter 40cm earth link cables.

Castors

Castor set for use with Canford Proline Series cabinets when used in free-standing applications, these are supplied as sets of four castors, 2x braked, 2x un-braked. These models are single point, M10 fixing, mounting directly into the base of the rack and secured with M10 fasteners (supplied with castor set). Each castor has 360 degree turning, 100kg of load capacity and is a height of 80mm.

Levelling Feet

Nylon feet on 70mm threaded steel studs, to mount in the base of racks. Thread: M10. Maximum loading per set of four: 300kg, subject to load capability of flooring. Supplied complete with two M10 nuts.

Hinged rear sections

These upgrade the standard Proline Series single-section wall cabinets by adding a rear section. This gives extra depth, but more importantly gives access to the rear of the equipment, without taking it out of the cabinet, while the cabinet remains fixed to the wall. The rear section which has two, hinged, parts, is fixed to the wall. The front section is attached, and can then be swung away for rear access when a lock is released. The rear sections can also be used in free-standing or under-desk applications, providing lockable access to the rear.

The rear section is 150mm deep overall. The split construction gives extra rigidity to the whole rack. The back part is 100mm deep, which fixes to the wall. This has cable access at the top and bottom via brushed entry ports, and in the centre of the rear panel, complete with a cover plate. The front frame, which is 50mm deep, is hinged to the rear section, and has fixings to connect it to the cabinet. When the rear section is fitted, equipment mounted in the front may extend back a further 50mm, without colliding with the rear section as the front section swings open. Alternatively, 19-inch panels may be mounted in the rear section, with 75mm clearance behind. (In this case, the equipment in the front must be chosen to avoid collision with the rear panels).

Finish: Light grey, RAL 7035, or black, RAL 9004, powder coat.
Maximum load in cabinet: 450mm deep: 50kg, 600mm deep: 35kg

Mounting Profiles

These are folded-steel profiles which may be fitted to the rear of the Proline Series wall cabinets. The mounting-profiles have two sets of perforations to take cage nuts to fix equipment across the rear of the rack and accessories, such as shelves and chassis guides, inside the rack. They have three apertures for cage nuts per 1U on the front face, two per U on the inner face and are printed with 'U' height measurements to aid installation. Sold in pairs. Finish: Plated.
