Aimed directly at installation work, these units are robustly constructed to a down to earth specification which might initially be thought idiosyncratic, but on closer evaluation will be found ideal for applications in factories, commercial premises, entertainment venues, and education facilities, in fact anywhere a no-frills dependable sound system is to be installed.
PA-6312/6336 Power Amplifiers
Whilst ostensibly simple devices, these two application-specific designs offer some singularly appropriate features for rugged real world installations. Both amplifiers share the same facilities, and differ only in their power capability, both featuring multiple output taps, giving ground isolated feeds with all impedances. Dual speed fan cooling. A high pass filter is incorporated to protect loudspeakers (especially horn types), from excessive low frequency power. The front panel is utilitarian, graced with the power switch, indicator Leds for protection circuit, clipping, –10dB and –20dB output, a fan grille and two handles. The rear is similarly spartan, with fan grille, connectors, input gain control, filter and ground lift switches.
