MUXLAB VIDEO EXTENDERS - 3G-SDI - Over fibre
The 500710 extender kit transmits a 3G-SDI signal up to 10km, over one single-mode fibre, in a point-to-point configuration. It supports up to 2.97/3.0 Gb/s uncompressed, un-encrypted digital video within television facilities and between professional video equipment.
Both a transmitter and receiver are included, each constructed in a metal case. Each has, on the front panel, a co-axial power inlet and a slot containing an SFP fibre module with LC connector. On the rear panels each has a female BNC connector for the SDI signal and two LEDs marked 'Signal' and 'Power'. Two suitable AC adapters are supplied as well as a lead to power the transmitter, from a suitable camera, fitted with a Hirose HR10A-7P-4P(73) connector. A hard-plastic case has foam cut to take the items in the kit.
Standards supported: SMPTE 259M (270Mb/s), SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 297-200. Bit rates: 270Mb/s, 1.485Gb/s and 2.97Gb/s, automatically selected.
Maximum reach: 30km with an SD-SDI signal, 21km with HD-SDI and 10km with 3G-SDI. (Around 100m of RG59 coaxial cable can be used connected to the BNC connectors.)
