SHURE MICROPHONES - Desk top

Aimed at paging, dispatching and radio communications applications, these microphones have bases, designed to be positioned on a desk or bench, supporting a vertical shaft to position the microphone capsule. A switch on the upper surface of the base of each model simultaneously switches the microphone on and provides a control circut for external equipment.

450-Series 2

This is a 'high output', dynamic, omnidirectional, desktop microphone designed for 'paging and dispatching applications'.The frequency response is 'tailored for optimum speech intelligibility'. There is a 'fingertip control bar' operating the press-to-talk switch, with 'lock-on option for hands-free operation'. Microphone height is adjustable. A slide switch in the base selects low or high impedance. The fixed cable is a 2.1m, four-conductor cable with two conductors shielded, no connector.

With a cardioid pick-up pattern, this is a dynamic microphone designed especially for base station 'radio communications, paging, and dispatching systems'. The cardioid pickup pattern 'suppresses unwanted background noise, the type of noise generated by other dispatchers working nearby, by ventilating equipment, or by office machines in the same area'. It also 'eliminates or reduces feedback in public address paging applications'. A 'finger-tip control bar' (locking or non-locking action) actuates microphone circuit and an external relay or control circuit. Microphone height is adjustable. A slide switch in the base selects low or high impedance. The fixed cable is a 2.1m, four-conductor cable with two conductors shielded, no connector.
