LYNX YELLOBRIK FIBRE OPTIC EXTENDERS - MADI - 10km or 40km with CWDM option

Designed to distribute MADI 64-channel audio over long distances, these modules, part of the yellobrik range manufactured by Lynx Technik, extend MADI circuits over distances of up to 10km or 40km using duplex or simplex fibre-optic cables. The yellobrik range includes a two-fibre transceiver (10km), a bi-directional WDM transceiver (10km) enabling send and receive over a single singlemode fibre, and a CWDM transceiver enabling transmission over duplex SM fibres up to 40km with the option to multiplex over a single fibre. A multimode (MM) duplex fibre version of the transceiver is also available providing a transmission range of up to 550m. Modules may be used alone, or mounted in an optional rack-mounting frame with dual (redundant) power supply option.

Included accessories: All yellobrik modules are supplied each with a plug-top power supply with UK, US and European plug fittings, hook and loop mounting pads and a plastic transport case.

OTR 1210 MADI coax - fibre transceivers

All versions use the same basic module with either singlemode (SM) or multimode (MM) fibre SFP fitted.

Each module has one fibre input and one fibre output via duplex LC connection.

OTR 1210-LC

Supplied complete with single-mode LC fibre SFP fitted.

Transmitter: 1310nm (-3dBm).
Receiver sensitivity: 1260nm to 1620nm (-3dBm to -21dBm).
Maximum distance: 10km

OTR 1210-MM-850

Supplied complete with multi-mode LC fibre SFP fitted.

Transmitter: 850nm (-2dBm to -7dBm).
Receiver sensitivity: 850nm (0dBm to -15dBm).
Maximum distance: 550m, MADI; 300m at 3G, 500m at HD, 1000m at SD, SDI video.

OTR 1210-MM-1310

Supplied complete with multi-mode LC fibre SFP fitted.

Transmitter: 1310nm (-14dBm to -20dBm).
Receiver sensitivity: 1310nm (-30dBm maximum).
Maximum distance: 2km

Note: OTR 1210 MM-1310 is only suitable for MADI over fibre transmission, and not suitable for SDI.

OBD 1210 MADI coax - fibre bi-directional transceivers

The OBD 1210 modules are supplied in pairs complete with fibre SFPs fitted, one Type A and one Type B, which work together. They are linked together by a single fibre, using WDM multiplexing (see below), to provide a bi-directional (send and receive) transmission system for 64 channels of audio in MADI format.
Supplied complete with WDM singlemode Bi-Di LC fibre SFPs fitted.

Fibre transmitter/receiver: WDM using 1310nm and 1550nm wavelengths.
Optical budget: 18dBm.
Maximum distance: Approximately 10km.

Note: All type A modules are identical, as are all type B modules. Any Type A module can be paired with any Type B module.

OTR 1240 MADI coax - fibre transceivers - 40km / CWDM

Supplied as a module only, order CWDM LC transceiver OH-TR-54-XXXX SFP separately.
Suitable for either point-to-point connection or multiplexing, with a range of up to 40km.

Transmitter: CWDM (ITU-T G.694.2) 18 selectable wavelengths.
Receiver sensitivity: 1270-1610nm (-3dBm to -23dBm).
Maximum distance: Approximately 40km.

OH-TR-54 - CWDM SFP Modules

Technical note: WDM

WDM is wavelength-division multiplexing. This technology multiplexes a number of optical carrier signals onto a single fibre by using different wavelengths of light. This can be used to increase the capacity of the fibre or to enable bi-directional communication over a single fibre.
