DPA MICROPHONES - Headworn - d:fine series

DPA d:fine headset microphones have been designed to cater for the professional broadcaster, actor, singer, and musician where accurate voice reproduction and comfort are an important elements.

All variants have fixed cables terminated with the DPA MicroDot connector for use with the range of adapters which convert the MicroDot to suit different wireless transmitters and direct cable connections.

4166 SLIM

These omnidirectional, headworn microphones have either a single-ear mount or a dual-ear mount each with 110mm, 89mm or 40mm microphone boom arms. Each is available in black, brown or beige. The 4166 SLIM microphones have a frequency response of 20Hz - 20kHz +/-2dB, a nominal sensitivity of 44mV/Pa and a noise floor of 26dB(A) re 20uPa. If powered correctly, the microphone will be able to handle levels up to 144dB SPL before clipping occurs.

4188 SLIM

Like the 4166 SLIM microphones, the 4188 SLIM headworn microphones are available in black, brown or beige with either a single-ear mount or a dual-ear mount. The boom arm lengths are 120mm or 100mm depending on version. All capsules have a cardioid pickup pattern. The 4188 SLIM microphones have a frequency response of 20Hz - 20kHz, 100Hz - 20kHz at +/-2dB and a soft boost of 3dB at 8-20kHz. They have a nominal sensitivity of 44mV/Pa, and a noise-floor of 26dB(A) re 20uPa. Like the 4166 SLIM, if powered correctly, the microphone will be able to handle sound pressure levels up to 144dB SPL before clipping occurs.

4066

Available in black, brown or beige, the DPA 4066 is an omnidirectional headworn microphone with a thin, pre-formed, steel headband. The headband may be bent gently for final fit and the overall result is secure placement with minimum visibility and a clear sound. These miniature microphones use a 5.4mm pre-polarised condenser element with a vertical diaphragm, specifically to cope with sweat, humidity, wind and 'popping'. The DPA 4066 has nominal sensitivity of 20mV/Pa, and a noise-floor of 23dB(A) re 20uPa. If powered correctly, the microphone will be able to handle sound pressure levels up to 134dB SPL before clipping occurs.

4088

Available in black, brown or beige, the DPA 4088 has a similar mechanical design to the 4066 but with a 30mm longer boom arm for better placement which is more important with the directional pickup pattern. The DPA 4088 has nominal sensitivity of 44mV/Pa and a noise-floor of 26dB(A) re 20uPa. If powered correctly, the microphone will be able to handle sound pressure levels up to 144dB SPL before clipping occurs.

Adapters

These adapters allow DPA miniature microphones to be connected to various radio microphone transmitters or a standard 48V phantom powered XLR connector. Note that the adapters contain circuitry to pass the correct supply voltage to the microphone, so may not be suitable for use with other miniature microphones. Adapters are available for most UHF transmitters. If an adapter is required for a transmitter not listed here, please contact Technical Support.
