SUB 88 - 2x 8-inch, passive
This bandpass constructed passive subwoofer houses two 8-inch, 8ohm drivers and produces a maximum sound pressure level of 115dB (92dB SPL 1W/1m). A 2x 100watt RMS load can produce a frequency response of 40Hz to 120Hz. Two loudspeaker inputs are provided in the way of sprung clamp connectors, whilst two loudspeaker outputs, for linking satellite/s are also provided by way of sprung clamp connectors. The speaker features an internal low-pass filter set at 120Hz. The enclosure is manufactured from 15mm MDF and finished in a black, textured paint.

SUB 88 A - 2x 8-inch, active
An active, bandpass configured subwoofer with two 8-inch drivers. Sub 88 A produces a maximum sound pressure level of 115dB (92dB SPL 1W/1m) with a RMS power output of 150watts and a frequency response of 40Hz to 120Hz. A single audio input is provided by way of combination jack/3-pin XLR connection with two associated rotary controls - one for the sub level, and another to change the sub's crossover point from 80Hz through 200Hz. Three LEDs signify power, signal presence, and limiter engagement. A two-position switch allows the user to change the phase of the subwoofer from 0 to 180 degrees. 220-240V AC input is by way of IEC mains connector. The enclosure is manufactured from 15mm MDF and finished in a black, textured paint.
LD Systems suggest Sub 88 A as 'a perfect partner for the SAT 62 A active speaker or for the passive models SAT 42 G2, SAT 242 G2, or SAT 62 G2 in combination with an external amplification'.

SUB 10 A - 10-inch, active
An active, bass-reflex configured subwoofer with a single 10-inch driver. Sub 10 A produces a maximum sound pressure level of 118dB (92dB SPL 1W/1m) with a RMS power output of 360watts and a frequency response of 40Hz to 120Hz. The subwoofer houses three 120watt amplifiers, one for internal use and two for external loudspeakers. Line input A and B are provided by way of combination jack/3-pin XLR connections with associated rotary control to adjust the sub level. Two direct line outputs are provided in form of 3-pin XLR connections, and two loudspeaker outputs are provided in the form of terminal posts. A rotary control labelled 'main level' adjusts the level of all three amplifiers and therefore the output of any connected loudspeakers. A two-position switch allows the user to change the phase of the subwoofer from 0 to 180 degrees. 220-240V AC input is by way of IEC mains connector. The enclosure is manufactured from 15mm MDF and finished in a black, textured paint.
Due to the integrated 3-channel amplifier, LD Systems recommend Sub 10 A be paired with 8x SAT 42 G2 (4x per channel), 8x SAT 62 G2 (4x per channel), or 4x SAT 242 G2 (2x per channel) passive loudspeakers.
