LD SYSTEMS MATRIX MIXERS

Designed for installation, and particularly where the installation is more complex, this range of LD Systems matrix mixers allows flexible routing options by employing digital signal processing and automated mixing.

AM 8 - 8 channel

LD Systems AM 8 is an automatic matrix mixer that features eight balanced mic line inputs, 96 kHz/24 bit digital signal processing (DSP) and other features such as priority functioning, and automatic threshold activated channel. Digital signal processing features include a 35Hz to 150Hz high pass filter, high and low shelving, 5-band parametric EQ for inputs, and 15-band parametric EQ and limiting for each output. The Priority function of the AM 8 can be switched on individually for each input with the total threshold for channel activation being selected automatically or manually using the threshold controller. This allows the channels to automatically mute if the levels of input channels drop below a certain threshold.

The front facing panel of the AM 8 has eight push/turn rotary encoders with intuitive LED display showing input signal, peak signal, and auto-mixing activity. A further encoder with LED display allows adjustment of master outputs 1 and 2, whilst a final rotary encoder allows for threshold adjustment. Dual 6-stage LEDs signify the master output level for channels 1 and 2. The rear facing panel houses all inputs and outputs including 8x 3-pin terminal block connections for channel inputs 1-8; 3-pin terminal connections for master outputs 1 and 2; 3-pin terminal connection for AES/EBU output for digital sum signal; Mini DIN connectors for cascading multiple AM 8 mixers; RS-232 interface, and 25-pin D-sub interface for external control. An RS485 interface allows network control of the AM 8 via compatible Windows PC and included LD Systems AUTOMIX8 software. The software control allows access to EQ, gain, mic/line switching, muting, phantom power, and priority settings.

Included accessories: 11x screw terminal blocks, MiniDIN4-M-Link cable, PC software installer, and power cord.

Frequency response: 20Hz to 30kHz. Signal to noise ratio: 85dB. Noise level: -120dB. Crosstalk: 87dB. Total harmonic distortion: 0.02%. Startup time: 2 seconds. Power consumption: 14-30watts. Operating voltage: 110-240V AC, 50-60Hz. Dimensions (HxWxD): 44 x 481 x 232mm. Weight: 2.58kg.

ZONE X 1208 - 12 inputs, 8 outputs

Zone X 1208 is a 12 input, 8 output mixing matrix with 40-bit floating hybrid architecture DSP. Pre-installed DSP templates can be selected for differing types of event, and a calendar-managed 'event scheduler' can be employed to switch the automated presets. Zone X 1208 operates on a Linux based operating system and uses a ARM Cortex A5 processor.

The front facing panel has input and output associated LEDs along with global status LEDs. The input and output LEDs illuminate white when an audio signal is present, and red when the signal is overdriven. The global LEDs illuminate to signify power on, network connection, and remote connection. The rear facing panel houses all I/O connectivity. The twelve balanced mic/line inputs are by way of 3-pole terminal blocks with a pitch of 3.81mm and coloured green. +48V phantom power is switchable per channel. The eight outputs are provided on 3-pin terminal blocks with 3.81mm pitch and coloured blue. Eight GPO logic ports are provided via 3-pole terminal blocks. These connections are coloured orange and have two selectable modes per output - LED, 3mA; or sink, 300mA. Eight GPI inputs with short to ground activation are also provided by way of 3-pole terminal blocks. These are also coloured orange. A RJ45 remote bus port is included for use with any future control panels from LD Systems. An Ethernet connection on RJ45 enables communication between Zone X and host computer, whilst a microUSB connection gives access to firmware updates. Finally an IP reset button is present should the engineer wish to reset any connections.

Included accessories: Power cable and manual.
Optional accessories: Ethernet + Dante card.

Nominal input sensitivity: -22dBu. Nominal input clipping: +20dBu. Distortion factor: +13dBu, less than 0.003%. Frequency response: 15Hz - 22kHz. Input impedance: 4kOhms, balanced. Signal to noise ration: Greater than 117dB, +20dBu. Dynamic range: 112dB. DSP: 40-bit floating point Analog Devices Dual-core SHARC+ processor. System latency: 4.3ms.
