KLARK TEKNIK EQUALISERS

Klark Teknik has a reputation for providing signal processing equipment of the highest quality. The company’s innovative electronic designs, sophisticated production techniques and stringent quality control ensure products of outstanding sonic quality and reliability. The products have a strong following in sound reinforcement, broadcast, recording and post production studios and permanent installations.

DN360

Klark Teknik DN360 dual channel, 30-band analogue graphic equaliser occupies 3U of rack space and allows the engineer to adjust the gain to a maximum of +/- 12dB of frequencies between 25Hz and 20kHz, with 1/3 octave steps. The oil damped precision slide controls (30mm) are arranged in two identical rows of thirty. A scale switch allows the user to set the maximum cut/boost level to 6dB or 12dB. Moving this switch to the centre position bypasses the graphic equaliser adjustments from the signal path. A low cut filter can be switched on to enable a 30Hz filter. The front panel also features an LED that illuminates when the signal exceeds the threshold of 3dB below clipping. This threshold is set at 19dB.

The rear facing panel houses all audio connectivity with one unbalanced 3-pin XLR input and output per channel. The unbalanced inputs and outputs can be made balanced by retrospectively fitting balancing transformers. 100-240V AC 50/60Hz power input is via IEC connection.

Power consumption: less than 15VA. Dimensions: 482 x 205 x 133 (WxDxH)mm. Weight: 5Kg

DN370

DN370 is a dual channel, third octave graphic equaliser that occupies 3U of rack space. The ‘long-throw’ 45mm oil dampened faders allow the engineer to cut or boost the frequency by 12dB, whilst there is an option to switch to a 6dB range for finer control. Klark Teknik have implemented ‘Proportional-Q’ equalisation to give a ‘more focused response’. In addition, DN370 has rotary controls to allow 12dB/oct high-pass filter with a 20Hz to 500Hz range, a 12dB/oct low-pass filter with 2kHz to 20kHz range, and two overlapping notch filters with ranges of 20Hz to 2kHz and 200Hz to 20kHz. LEDs on the front panel are duplicated across the two channels and include signal, clip, range (6/12dB) bypass, and power, along with LED rings on the rotary filter controls.

The rear of the unit has one electronically balanced 3-pin XLR input and output per channel along with Phoenix style connectors for the same I/O. 100-240V AC 50-60Hz power input is via IEC connection.

Power consumption: less than 60W. Dimensions: 483 x 228 x 133 (WxDxH)mm. Weight: 5.8kg

DN370F

Klark Teknik DN370F has the same feature set as the DN370 however in place of electronically balanced I/O, this unit has transformer balanced inputs and outputs.

Power consumption: less than 60W. Dimensions: 483 x 228 x 133 (WxDxH)mm. Weight: 5.8kg
