VOICE TECHNOLOGIES MICROPHONES - Shotgun
The VT5000 is a lightweight, short-shotgun microphone designed for a wide range of recording applications including video camera-mounting for broadcast, ENG, EFP, sports documentaries, video, film, or even for studio recordings. The design has a smooth response to 18kHz, sensitivity is high and self-noise is low.
Development of the VT5000 benefited from feedback from customers who desired a shotgun microphone to match sonically the VT500 lavalier. The hand-selected, back-electret condenser capsule provides a smooth frequency response from 50Hz to 18kHz; with its super-cardioid polar pattern the microphone can be precisely aligned to the sound source. Due to complex production methods and precise tuning a tight directional pattern is achieved. Ambient noise is greatly minimized producing clear and intelligible voice reproduction. The VT5000 is among the lightest and shortest shotgun microphones on the market yet making it particularly suitable for use with DSLR cameras. The case is made of solid brass with a durable black finish, the connector is a male, 3-pin, XLR, with gold-plated pins.
