Intended for use both in and out of doors, these are manufactured in a scuff-resistant, high impact polystyrene, and may be mounted with the included yoke, on the accessory surface bracket with pre-wiring facility or using a pole mounting clamp. Appropriate for a wide range of applications from theme parks to places of worship, models are available in a range of power ratings using Tannoy’s proprietary Inductive Coupling Technology or Dual Concentric drivers, in either black or white finish. Each model is available either as low impedance only, or fitted with a 70/100V line transformer. The speakers are wired using ‘Euroblock’ two-part terminal connectors for ease of installation.
The Di range are weather resistant with an IP rating of IP64 to EN60529/IEC529 standards.
Transformer versions - ‘t’ suffix
Model codes with a ‘t’ suffix have 70/100V line transformers which may be switched between power ratings of 30, 15, 7.5, 3.75 Watts or off. Low impedance operation is also available.
ICT Drivers - ‘Inductive Coupling Technology’
Inductive Coupling Technology uses an high frequency diaphragm, with a voice coil ‘floating’ coaxially in the magnetic field produced by the main driver unit. This gives the physical crossover and driver power required without a wired, dedicated, high frequency unit and separate crossover network. The major benefits are improved reliability and efficiency.
DC Drivers - ‘Dual Concentric’
Dual Concentric Technology drive units use separate low frequency and high frequency units mounted in a precise coaxial arrangement to provide a single point source across all output frequencies. The resultant hemi-spherical wave front has a very linear off-axis response with no phase discontinuities in the crossover region. This gives greater freedom of speaker placement.
Di5 and Di5t - 100W 6 ohms, 110mm ICT driver
With a highly reliable ICT drive unit, these black or white, textured finish enclosures feature a perforated steel grille with rubber trim seal. The drive unit has a polypropylene cone and nitrile rubber surround to further enhance weatherproofing. The DI5t types are the 70/100V line transformer equipped versions.

Di5 DC and Di5 DCt - 100W 6 ohms, 110mm Dual Concentric
Featuring the Tannoy Dual Concentric driver system, these enclosures are otherwise identical to the Di5 models. The DC driver has a mid/bass cone of a multi-fibre mix paper treated with a waterproofing resin. The concentrically mounted HF unit has a ferrofluid-cooled titanium dome, neodymium magnet system and dynamic HF protection. Available in black or white finish. Di5 DCt types are the 70/100V line transformer equipped versions.

K-Ball Wall Bracket - with pre-wiring facility
The K-Ball multi-angle bracket contains a Euroblock connector, matching the Euroblock socket set into the rear of the loudspeaker. Installation pre-wiring can be carried out and then later the speaker is mated to the wall bracket in the final step before the loudspeaker is aimed in the correct direction and the locking collar tightened. The cables may be routed through the arm from the base, mounted in conjunction with a standard conduit junction box.
Pole Mount Adapter
Available in black or white this clamps a pole to the standard, supplied, Di mounting yoke or optional K-Ball Wall Bracket, via two M8 bolts, providing a robust support in both indoor and outdoor applications. The adapter will fix to poles in the range 77 to 228 mm diameter.
