Using the 'V-Mount' standard, originally introduced by Sony for mounting battery packs to professional video camcorders, the IDX Endura System offers a Lithium Ion battery. This battery chemistry gives higher capacity and lower weight than NiCd or Ni-MH packs of a similar size, with no charging 'memory' effects. All IDX Endura battery packs have temperature and current voltage protection and an operating temperature of -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C).
ENDURA HL9
A battery that can perform at a high load, without damaging the battery cells, a common result when using an unsuitable, lower capacity battery. This makes it suitable for hungrier HD cameras, commonly used with a digital lens, on-board light and wireless link, therefore drawing a possible excess of 100W. Also features the IDX proprietary “PowerLink” connection, which enables the doubling of on-board battery capacity by allowing two batteries to be clipped together, “Digi-View”, allowing accurate data concerning battery capacity to be displayed in camera viewfinders, and also fully supports IDX’s Battery Management System (BMS) which allows a PC to be used to store the usage, life cycle and other key performance data of a fleet of IDX batteries.
ENDURA CUE Series
This series of batteries, available in three capacities, have been manufactured in co-operation with Sanyo, designed to meet Japans stringent PSE safety regulations for enhanced mechanical and electrical safety. Each battery has one unregulated D-Tap DC output, and four power LED indicators are located on the side for a quick and accurate capacity readout.
ENDURA DUO-C Series
The DUO-C series of batteries, available in two capacities, house high-energy density cells and offer significant savings in size and weight. Each battery has one unregulated D-Tap port, one unregulated D-Tap Advanced port, and one USB port to power auxiliary accessories such as monitors, lights, wireless receivers, tablets and mobile phones. With the D-Tap Advanced port, users also have the added ability to charge their batteries with the compact, low-cost D-Tap charger (59-469). Four power LED indicators are located on the side for a quick and accurate capacity readout. Additionally, the 'SMBus' (Smart Battery Bus) allows for data display in the viewfinder on RED cameras.
