Offered in a series of packages, these are 'high-quality', 'low-budget', presentation, vocal, and instrumental systems, 'offering reliable transmission and excellent sound quality'. The systems are 'quick and easy to set up' with automatic search for free frequencies and synchronisation via RF remote channel. 'Professional True Diversity technology guarantees optimum reception under any circumstances'. Systems are offered with dynamic and condenser hand-held transmitters in addition to belt-pack transmitters with either miniature body-worn or head-worn microphones or for use with electric instruments, such as guitars. Receivers may be mounted in a standard rack, using accessory hardware.
These systems are offered set for channel 38 (606 - 614 MHz), which is the range for licensed radio microphones and in-ear monitors in the UK. A licence is required to operate this equipment in channel 38.
Twelve channels may be operated simultaneously in one location. Eight frequency 'banks' are available, each can have a maximum of twelve preset channels. Frequencies may be set manually, in steps of 25kHz, or by selecting a frequency bank and then a preset channel. The receiver may be used to scan for an unused channel within a frequency bank and select it. The settings selected on the receiver can then by transferred to the transmitter by pressing the sync button on the transmitter and then the sync button on the receiver. The receiver has adjustable squelch to reduce RF interference. Transmitters have mute buttons; the user can prevent the audio from being heard without intervention at the receiver or by the sound operator.

EM 10 Receiver
Present in all the XS series systems, this is a diversity receiver, with two rear antennae which may be removed and mounted remotely. It is constructed in a metal housing, has both balanced and unbalanced output connections, and may be rack-mounted using accessory hardware.
On the front: Standby button. LCD display shows frequency, channel, bank, sync; RF and audio level on bar-graphs, battery charge status of transmitter; scan, preset, tune menu items; active antenna. 'Up', 'down' and 'set' buttons navigate the menu to set the frequency; a 'sync' button transfers the setting to a transmitter. Audio output level, rotary control adjusts both audio outputs.
On the rear: Antenna connectors, 2x BNC, 50 ohms. Audio outputs; 3-pin female XLR, balanced; 6.35mm jack socket, unbalanced; line/microphone switch. Squelch level, rotary control. DC power input, coaxial, with associated cable grip.
Sensitivity: Less than 3uV, for 52dB A RMS signal to noise. Adjacent channel rejection: 60dB. Audio frequency response: 60-16000Hz. SKM 65, SKM 35 Transmitters - Handheld
Both hand held transmitters are similar. The SKM 65 is fitted with a super-cardioid condenser capsule, to offer 'brilliant sound', the SKM 35 has a cardioid dynamic capsule offering 'the legendary e 835 sound' to 'cut through high on-stage levels', both offer 'high feedback rejection'.

On the end: Sync button. Lower part of body unscrews to reveal battery compartment.

This is used in the three belt-pack systems; it may be used with condenser microphones or instrument pick-ups.

GAM 1, GAM 2, GAM 3 Rack Mounting Kits - For EM 10 receiver
The GAM 1 has two steel brackets, to mount a single EM 10 in 1U of a 19 inch rack. The brackets attach to the sides of the EM 10; they each have an aperture to take a BNC back-to-back connector, supplied, to mount the standard antennae on the front of the rack. Two BNC - BNC cables are included.
The GAM 2 has two steel brackets and two joining plates to mount two EM 10 receivers in 1U of a 19 inch rack. The brackets each attach to one side of the EM 10, the plates connect the two EM 10 receivers together in the centre. The brackets each have an aperture to take a BNC back-to-back connector, supplied, to mount two standard antennae on the front of the rack. Two antenna splitters and six BNC - BNC cables are included.
The GAM 3 has two steel brackets and two joining plates to mount two EM 10 receivers in 1U of a 19 inch rack. The brackets each attach to one side of the EM 10, the plates connect the two EM 10 receivers together in the centre. The brackets each have an aperture to take a BNC back-to-back connector, to mount two standard antennae on the front of the rack.
