CANFORD TALKING BRICK POWERED LOUDSPEAKER
This particular building-block is a powered speaker intended to accompany PC-based editors, attaching to the side of a VDU by means of the self-adhesive hook-and-loop material supplied. Essential features include volume control, headphone outlet and balanced input, and magnetically-shielded loudspeaker for safe use in proximity to a VDU.
Considerably smaller and less than a third of the weight of a sample borrowed from the nearest building site, the plastic enclosure sports on its rear an IEC power inlet (with loop-through output so it doesn’t take up yet another mains outlet), and combination XLR/jack line-level input. The front has the volume control, a power LED and a stereo A-gauge headphone socket which connects to the mono amplifier muting the speaker when in use.
