This range of rack-mountable CD players collectively provide for a plethora of applications whether in broadcast, live performance or where continuous, varied playback is required. Most players provide MP3 playback and all provide both analogue and digital outputs.
CD-200 - CD Player with MP3/WAV Playback - 2U - RCA, SP/DIF
A rack-mountable (2U) CD player unit capable of playing audio CDs as well as MP3 and WAV files stored on data CDs of CD, CD-R or CD-RW format. Transport and track selection buttons are mounted on the front panel along with track playback mode buttons (shuffle, repeat, program) and MP3 or WAV folder select buttons. Repeat modes are the usual 'single repeat' and 'all repeat' but when playing a correctly formatted MP3 or WAV data CD, the 'folder repeat' option is also available. Intro play mode also available to preview introductory track content. Textual information is displayed on the front panel display, from CD Text or ID3 tag information (if present). Switchable pitch-shift up to +/-12% and 6.35mm jack socket for headphones with adjustable level are also controlled on the front panel. Audio quality and continuity is ensured by the 10-second audio buffer provided for shock protection and the player's 3-beam, semiconductor laser with a digital filter of 8x oversampling. Audio output is available on the rear both as unbalanced RCA (phono) sockets or as coaxial digital (S/PDIF) output. Also included is a 10 key infra-red remote control. CD-500 - Player - 1U - RCA, SP/DIF - RS232
Designed specifically for compact 1U rack-mounting, the CD-01U has a single slot-loading transport, a 10-key front panel allowing direct track selection, accepts 12cm audio or data CDs (containing MP3 or WAV files), in CD, CD-R and CD-RW formats. Shuffle, repeat ('single repeat', 'program repeat', 'random repeat' or 'all repeat'), A-B repeat and program playback modes are available as well as a rotary switch controlling pitch shift (up to +/-16%) and menu selection on the front panel. Additional features include: 'fader start' mode via relay in control; 'key original' mode, allowing one to change playback speed without affecting pitch; the 'call' function, allowing return to the last point from which playback was started (except for data CD use); 'auto cue' mode, 'auto ready' mode and also a fade mode allowing up to ten seconds of level fading into and out of tracks. Continuity is also ensured by a 20-second memory buffer providing shock protection called flash-mode (except for data CD use). Control is by the included RC-500 infra-red remote control, by the rear-mounted RS-232C serial interface which allows programming with AMX and Crestron systems or by the simple 'relay in' and 'relay out' 3.5mm mini-jack sockets that allow basic fader-start control and multiple machine daisy-chain control. CD-500B CD Player - 1U - AES/EBU, XLR, RCA, SP/DIF - RS232, Parallel
The CD-500B is identical to the CD-500 in terms of its features and general specifications with the exception of the interfaces on the rear panel. In addition to the unbalanced RCA (phono) outputs and the optical digital (S/PDIF) output, there are also balanced analogue XLR outputs and an XLR digital output (AES/EBU). Remote control functionality is increased by the inclusion of a parallel 15-pin D-sub interface. Power source: 100-240V AC 50/60Hz, 11W.
